Cesky Krumlov

There’s really nowhere quite like Cesky Krumlov. It is guaranteed to delight visitors with its UNESCO-protected Cesky Krumlov Castle, immaculately preserved medieval streets and stunning Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance-era buildings, filled with cafes, restaurants, boutiques and galleries.

Although the world and towns around us have changed a good deal, the old charm of this city has yet to fade. Visitors are repeatedly impressed by its unique natural setting and its antiquity which reminds one of a fairy tale setting.

Ceske Budejovice

Ceské Budejovice is a really nice town dating back to 1265 is situated in the southern part of Bohemia and boasts with preserved medieval architecture. The dominants of the city center is a large Square, the Old Town hall and the 16th century Black Tower. The town is a seat of the original Budweiser Budvar Brewery.

Pilsen

Plzen (Pilsen) belongs to one of the most important Czech towns. Founded as early as 1295 it is an important cultural, industrial and commercial center. The town is rich in architecture and its town square was declared a historical landmark. However, the city´s fame is closely linked with Pilsen Urquell – a world famous Pilsen Urquell Brewery where you can also take a tour.

Danube River Cruises – Prague Tours

A number of our guests travel with one of the Danube River Cruises. Companies like Vikings River Cruise, Avalon Waterways, Uniworld or Tauck may or may not offer a transportation to/from Prague as apart of the pre- or post-cruise extension.

“Transfer Passau – Cesky Krumlov – Prague”

There were 4 people in our party, traveling on the Viking Danube River Cruise from Budapest to Passau. We need a transfer from Passau to Prague and also wanted a guide to show us around Prague the next few days. Kamil was very accommodating. He arranged for a driver with a large modern van to pick us up in Passau and take us to Cesky Krumlov on the way to Prague.

The van was clean and the driver had water and snacks for us. He was knowledgeable about the back roads, showing us beautiful landscapes and making the drive very enjoyable. The visit to Cesky Krumlov was fantastic, well worth the time we spent there. We arrived at our hotel in Prague without incident, in time for dinner. The driver even told us which local restaurant to visit in the square adjacent to our hotel.

Even though they are based in Prague, they are knowledgeable about the entire region and can easily arrange for private tours in all the cities along the Danube River. In fact, the driver who took us from Passau to Prague was headed to Salzburg the following day to guide a group through the region
